Dunstaffnage Castle and Chapel

Dunstaffnage Castle, one of Scotland’s oldest stone fortresses, stands atop a massive rock with commanding views over the Firth of Lorn near Oban. Built around 1220 by Duncan MacDougall, son of Earl Somerled—the renowned "King of the Isles"—this historic site offers a glimpse into Scotland’s rich past.

Kilchurn Castle

Built-in the mid-1400s, Kilchurn Castle has served as a fortress, a stately residence, and later as a garrison stronghold, housing the oldest surviving barracks on the British mainland. Overlooking the picturesque Loch Awe, Kilchurn Castle is one of Scotland's most photographed landmarks.
